Become an Asset Champion:
Asset Champions are everyday heroes for our youth. With a bit of training, every person from every sector in our diverse community can learn how to build assets in their homes, neighborhoods, faith communities, schools and workplaces: everywhere, everyday.

Asset Builder Annual Giving
Those who donate to Metro Youth Partnership do not go unnoticed. We feel that you are in a league of your own and should be recognized as such. Annual membership levels are:
- Friend of Youth $50
- Youth Advocate $100
- Pacesetter $500
- Founder $1,000
- Lifetime Gift – Keeper of the Flame $2,500
As an Asset Builder you may designate gifts to a particular program or for the entire agency. Gifts may also be given in honor of living or in memory of special family and friends.
All gifts are tax-deductible.
Metro Youth Partnership recognizes the generous support of our donors through MYP publications and publication on our website; however, requests of anonymity will be honored.
What Else Can I Do?
- Get to know the kids and parents in your neighborhood.
- Be a friend to a child or teenager.
- Encourage youth in your community by celebrating their accomplishments.
- Learn how you can build a healthy community through MYP asset-building training.
- Become a volunteer mentor.
- Provide financial assistance to MYP programs.
- Demonstrate that you value the people in your community.
Parents
- Take time to know your children.
- Make family time a weekly priority.
- Get to know your children’s friends and parents.
- Be genuine, honest, and apologize when you’ve been wrong.
- Be consistent, home rules apply to everyone.
Kids
- Be friendly and courteous to other kids, even if they are not a close friend.
- Volunteer in the community.
- Respect and acknowledge the differences in others.
- Welcome newcomers to your school and neighborhood.
- Communicate openly and honestly with your family members.
Community
- Establish, promote, and support positive activities.
- Provide safe neighborhoods, i.e. Block Clubs.
- Look at kids as an asset in the community.
- Offer your expertise as an opportunity for youth development.
- Say “hello” to kids.
